The results of the Assabah Eid Fest 2026 organized by the Assabah Society for the Blind Youth Wing on the occasion of the Eid-ul-Fitr were announced by Asianet "Maylanchi Season 2" winner Nawaz Kasargod.
The Eid Fest, which showcased the talents of the visually impaired in Kerala, had competitions in Takbeer recitation, Islamic singing and quiz.
CVA Kutty Cheruvadi, Amina Sultana Cheruvadi, Kerala Mappila Kala Akademi University Chapter Sarathi Abdulgafur Kalliyat and Abdulmajeed Faizi Manjeri were the judges.
The judges commented that the contestants gave a great performance despite their limitations.
In the sub-junior Takbeer recitation, Amjad Karuvarakkundu, Ahadiya Fatima Katakkal and Shimlan Kottakkal won first, second and third positions respectively, while in the sub-junior category in Islamic singing, Ziya Fatima Kalpakanchery, Ahadiya Fatima Katakkal and Muhammed Waramkadavu won first, second and third positions respectively.
In the singing competition, Muhammed Naif Thrissur, Muhammed Ranish Koduvally and Ashita Fatima Palakkad won first, second and third positions respectively in the junior category, Abdurrazak Palakkad, Harris Valanchery and Tahir Neyyattinkara won first and third positions respectively in the senior ladies category, and Tafseela Farooq, Suvaiba Kannur and Jamsheena Kottakkal won first and third positions respectively in the senior ladies category.
In the quiz, Muhammed Wafa Kasaragod, Ashita Fathima Palakkad and Sajna Riyas Kaniyapuram secured the first three positions respectively.
The online results declaration ceremony was presided over by Assabah Vice President Hamza Iringalloor. Saithalavi Mash and Badusha Thiruvananthapuram offered their best wishes.
The ceremony, which began with the recitation of the Quran by Assabah Kasaragod Region Student Wing President Saleh, was welcomed by Youth Wing President Naufal Aluva and Youth Wing Committee Member Fiyas Kottappuram.
The prizes for the winners will be distributed at events held in various districts of Assabah.
